December 3, 2008 11am to 12:30pm Eastern Mike Bixenman and Tom Forsythe, Kyzen Corporation

Electronic Assembly process engineers face numerous challenges with the drive toward miniaturization, lead-free, and reliability. When the cleaning process fails to operate per design standards, the manufacturing issue leads to production inefficiencies. The topic of this presentation focuses on process issues centered on equipment and cleaning effects. Common cleaning equipment issues result from foaming in the wash and rinse, containment, control of wash chemistry, and ventilation. White residue issues are features of the soil, wash chemistry, wash time, wash temperature, mechanical delivery of the wash chemistry and up-stream processing conditions. This cleaning webinar will discuss each of these cleaning problems, identify root causes, and provide options for resolution.
Mike Bixenman is a co-founder of Kyzen Corporation. He jointly holds electronic cleaning fluid compositional and process patents. Mike has published numerous technical papers on the topic of electronic cleaning. He holds four earned degrees including a Doctorate of Business Administration.
Tom Forsythe is a World-recognized expert in cleaning chemistries and processes. Tom has a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics & Engineering from the US Naval Academy, his Naval Aviator designation as a Helicopter Pilot, and a Master's of Business Administration from Boston University. He is well published in both the industry trade magazines and technical forums. Tom has spent the last 15 years with Kyzen Corporation in Nashville, TN where he is Vice President.
